I’ve had a pair of Cairn Evo sandals for 2 years now and they have been my every day shoe. Best sandals ever—I’ve put on at least 4 people to them who now also wear them all the time. I was excited by the idea of a flipflop that was stable and practical. Initially, I thought I’d made a mistake because the lack of stability inherent to the shoe was causing my big toes to pinch in to keep the shoe on my foot. I hadn’t worn flip flops in years because of this problem that was bad for my feet, causing pain, ultimately one of the core reasons why I switched to barefoot shoes. I stuck it out and I’ve adjusted, they’ve molded to my feet in such a way that I can walk without compensation and now I’m wearing them more frequently than my Cairns. If I’m going on a long walk or going to be on my feet a lot, I’ll still go for the sandals, but the flops have become my daily shoe for kicking around, running errands, etc. They are comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and satisfyingly minimal for a person who would rather be barefoot. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because I expected the strap system to offer more security/a more customized fit.
